Want to do more? In our research to build our green kits we have found many other small changes you can make in your daily life to help save energy and natural resources.

  1. Unplug electronics when not in use (phone chargers, coffee makers, etc.)
  2. Turn off the water when brushing your teeth
  3. Recycle and used recycled products
  4. Install a programmable thermostat
  5. Plant a tree or support www.americanforests.org
  6. Reduce junk mail (do it online at www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailinglist)
  7. Wash in cold water and clean your lint screen
  8. Buy in bulk and buy minimally packaged goods
  9. Install a low flow showerhead
  10. Buy organic and buy local (check out www.ams.usda.gov/farmersmarkets/map.htm to find a farmer’s market in your area)
